Why worry when you can pray?

By choosing to pray instead of worry, we can:
* Release our burdens to a higher power
* Gain perspective and clarity
* Experience comfort and reassurance
* Develop a sense of trust and faith
* Find strength and resilience
Remember:
* prayer is not a way to avoid problems,
* but to face them with courage, hope, and guidance.

What do you gain from praying to God

A woman was once asked: "What do you gain from praying to God regularly?"

She replied: "Usually, I don't earn anything, but rather, I lose things."

And she quoted everything she lost praying to God regularly:
"I lost my pride.
I lost my arrogance.
I lost greed.
I lost my urge.
I lost ′′my′′ anger.
I lost the lust.
I lost the pleasure of lying.
I lost the taste of sin.
I lost impatience, despair, and discouragement.

Sometimes we pray, not to gain something, but to lose things that don't allow us to grow spiritually.
Prayer educates, strengthens, and heals.
Prayer is the channel that connects us directly to God."

Our trip is very short

A woman climbed up the bus and sat down beside a man, hitting him with her numerous bags.

When the man remained silent, the woman asked him why he did not complain when she hit him with her bags?

The man replied with a mile: "There is no need to be upset about something so insignificant, as our journey together is so short, because I'm getting off at the next stop "

This answer disturbed the woman so much, she asked the man to excuse her and thought the words need to be written in gold.

Each of us must understand that our time in this world is so short, that darkening it with useless arguments, jealousy, not forgiving others, discontentment and bad attitudes are a ridiculous waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart?
Stay calm.
The trip is too short.

Did someone betray you, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you?
Relax - Don't be stressed.
The trip is too short.

Did someone insult you without reason?
Stay calm. Ignore it.
The trip is too short.

Did someone make a comment that you didn't like?
Stay calm. Ignore. Forgive, keep them in your prayers & love them still for no reason.
The trip is too short.

Whatever the problems some bring to us, it is a problem only if we think of it, remember
that our journey together is too short.

No one knows the length of our trip.
No one has seen tomorrow.
Nobody knows when it will arrive at its stop.
Our trip together is too short.

Let us appreciate friends and family.
Keep them in good humor.
Respect them.
Let us be respectful, kind, loving & forgiving.

Because we will be filled with gratitude and joy, after all, our trip together is very short.

[Thank you, Rosetta, it's so true and beautifully written.]

Traveling on my knees

Last night I took a journey
To a land across the seas;
I did not go by boat or plane,
I traveled on my knees.

I saw so many people there
In deepest depths of sin,
But Jesus told me I should go,
That there were souls to win.

But I said, “Jesus I cannot go
And work with such as these.”
He answered quickly, “Yes you can
By traveling on your knees.”

He said, “You pray; I’ll meet the need,
You call and I will hear;
Be concerned about lost souls,
Of those both far and near.”

And so I tried it, knelt in prayer,
Gave up some hours of ease;
I felt the Lord right by my side
While traveling on my knees.

As I prayer on and saw souls saved
And twisted bodies healed,
And saw God’s workers’ strength renewed
While laboring on the field.

I said, “Yes, Lord I have a job,
My desire Thy will to please;
I can go and heed Thy call
By traveling on my knees.”

Miss Clara’s Prayer

You’ve done it again, Lord.
You’ve done it again.
You are good, and You are mighty,
and You are merciful!
And You keep taking care of me
when I don’t deserve it.
Praise You, Jesus! You are Lord….
Raise up more that will call upon Your name.
Raise up those that love You, and seek You,
and trust You.
Raise ‘em up, Lord!
Raise ’em up!
Lord, we need a generation of believers
who are not ashamed of the gospel!
We need an army of believers, Lord,
that hate to be lukewarm, and will stand on
Your Word above all else!
Raise ’em up, Lord!
Raise ’em up!
I pray for unity among those that love You.
I pray that You open their eyes so that they can see Your truth, Lord.
I pray for Your hand of protection and guidance.
Raise up a generation, Lord, that will take light into this world;
that will not compromise when under pressure; that will not cower, Lord, when others fall away!
Raise ’em up, Lord, that they will proclaim that there is salvation in the name of Jesus Christ!
Raise up warriors, Lord, who will fight on their knees,
who will worship you with their whole hearts, Lord!
Lord, call us to battle, that we may proclaim King of Kings, and Lord of Lords!
I pray these things with all my heart.
Raise ’em up, Lord!
Raise ’em up!

Meditate on this dear brothers and sisters ...

A pro golfer once told me this story: During the final of a major competition, a golfer was lining up on the eighteenth hole for a putt that would win the championship.

As he was about to nudge the ball toward the hole, a train passed by, giving a long, loud whistle. The golfer made his shot, the ball went into the hole, and he won the competition! The organisers came running over, apologising profusely for the distraction of the train, but the golfer looked up, confused, and said, “What noise?” He was so focused on the game he had not even noticed. If only we could maintain that sort of clear and intense focus in our lives!

In the Bible, the Lord speaks about being distracted by things such as possessions, friends, and difficult circumstances. These things will come, but our focus should be on God - we should keep our “eye on the ball,” so to speak. Let us do everything in our power to please the Lord, leaving the rest to His safekeeping.

PRAYER
Lord, when I run up against the countless distractions of each day, please allow me to maintain my focus on You and on what You have given me to do. Amen

Friendship with the Spirit

Friendship with the Spirit is like any other friendship in that it develops over time. Like a new friend, you must get to know his character and personality. Spend time just talking with him, listening to him and allowing him to work in your heart and life. He is an incredible gift given to you. He is your gateway to experiencing the things of God. Walk in relationship with him, follow his guidance, and make a new best friend in the Holy Spirit.

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”
Romans 8:26 NLT
