Poem: Life is but a stopping place

Life is but a stopping place
A pause in what’s to be
A resting place along the road
To sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way
We all were meant to learn some things
But never meant to stay ...

Our destination is a place
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey’s quicker
For some the journey’s slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
We’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord

Tips from Granny

A young lady sat in a bus. At the next stop a loud and grumpy old lady came and sat by her. She squeezed into the seat and bumped her with her numerous bags.

The person sitting on the other side of the young lady got upset, asked her why she did not speak up and say something.

The young lady responded with a smile: "It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant, the journey together is so short. I get off at the next stop."

This response deserves to be written in golden letters: "It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short"

If each one of us realized that our time here is so short; that to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, not forgiving others, discontentment and a fault finding attitude would be a waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart? Be calm, the journey is so short.

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? Be calm, forgive, the journey is so short.

Whatever troubles anyone brings us, let us remember that our journey together is so short.

No one knows the duration of this journey. No one knows when their stop will come. Our journey together is so short.

Let us cherish friends and family. Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving to each other. Let us be filled with gratitude and gladness.

If I have ever hurt you, I ask for your forgiveness. If you have ever hurt me, you already have my forgiveness.  After all, our journey together is so short!

Our trip is very short

A woman climbed up the bus and sat down beside a man, hitting him with her numerous bags.

When the man remained silent, the woman asked him why he did not complain when she hit him with her bags?

The man replied with a mile: "There is no need to be upset about something so insignificant, as our journey together is so short, because I'm getting off at the next stop "

This answer disturbed the woman so much, she asked the man to excuse her and thought the words need to be written in gold.

Each of us must understand that our time in this world is so short, that darkening it with useless arguments, jealousy, not forgiving others, discontentment and bad attitudes are a ridiculous waste of time and energy.

Stay calm.

Did someone betray you, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you?
Relax - Don't be stressed.

Did someone insult you without reason?
Stay calm. Ignore it.
The trip is too short.

Did someone make a comment that you didn't like?
Stay calm. Ignore. Forgive, keep them in your prayers & love them still for no reason.
The trip is too short.

Whatever the problems some bring to us, it is a problem only if we think of it, remember
that our journey together is too short.

No one knows the length of our trip.

No one has seen tomorrow.

Nobody knows when it will arrive at its stop.

Let us appreciate friends and family.

Keep them in good humor.

Respect them.

Let us be respectful, kind, loving & forgiving.

Because we will be filled with gratitude and joy, after all, our trip together is very short.
